MountainWith fresh wondrous filled eyes, I beheld them climb the mountain.
It seemed an immensely pointless challenge, to partake in.
I couldn't help but laugh, in a soft but painstaking way.
Soon I discovered I must tread the path, that does not stray.
Up the monumental mountain, I began my venture.
The sweat of those above, became the ultimate quencher.
More arduous the ascent became, so I looked behind.
With astonished eyes I realised, more followed the line.
I toiled and ached, through the ever-increasing weight.
That the mountain did seem to be extruding, by its height.
In front of my weary eyes, people conquered the summit.
I caught a look of relief, before the fated plummet.
After one final push I surmounted the mountains peak.
The panorama revealed an endless array of life.
Bliss, void, pointless, meaningful.
